Ioannis graduated in 2007 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. He started his career as a musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist in a national level sports clinic in Athens, where he worked for 3 years. Part of his role was the treatment of Olympiakos Professional Volleyball team and the Men’s and Women’s National Volleyball teams. Additionally, he was also working as a physiotherapist in football.
Ioannis has always had a special interest in Sports Physiotherapy and aspired to work as a physiotherapist in professional football. In 2010 he completed an MSc in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy at Cardiff University in the UK and then moved to London to work as a Physiotherapist in private practice. He also completed post-graduate courses in Manual Therapy, dry needling, clinical Pilates, hydrotherapy, taping and sports massage. In 2013 Ioannis joined Chelsea Football Club in London, where he worked for nearly 6 years and got the opportunity to work with the Mens 1st Team.
Ioannis moved to Dubai in 2019 and before joining Anatomy Rehab in 2021 worked for renowned private clinics as an MSK and Sports Physiotherapist. Ioannis also has experience working as a sports physiotherapist treating elite level athletes in major sporting events, such as the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Baku 2015 European Games, Ashgabat 2017 Asian Games and London 2017 World Athletics Championships.
